The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regards to the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The service place made for intervention encounters a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough status sassa for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to allow the servicing of all prospects and raise access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
