The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the significant range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large sassa status check range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The provider issue created for intervention activities a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to help the servicing of all clients and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
